Collaborative Bodywork and Saddle Fitting Workshops

With Leslie A. Kennedy and Jenn Vereshack

Owner of Dynamic Bodywurks Canada, Equine/Canine and Dressagewurks, Leslie Kennedy says “Based on daily findings working with horses, I recognize there is a big necessity for this type of educational, hands on interactive workshop.  I am passionate about teaching others to help their horses, whether through improved riding skills or teaching bodywork. I welcome Jenn Vereshack in joining me with this endeavour”.

“The aim of good saddle fit is to distribute the rider’s weight over as large of an area as possible without interfering with the horse’s ability to move gymnastically”, says Jenn Vereshack of Integrated Equine Services.

Jenn will outline the dimensions of saddle fit referencing various influential equine specialists in the field. Within this framework participants will learn where the saddle should sit on the horse’s back, and what structures must be avoided to prevent performance issues, and ultimately injury to the horse. The unique requirements of the male and female pelvis in saddle fit will also be explored.
